Senior Innovations Engineer

What You'll Do:
Reporting to the Head of Innovation and R&D, you will be a key member of the team working on our future technologies. Our product team is ambitious and innovative and always has their foot on the pedal.
As a Senior Innovations Engineer you will anticipate the future needs of Ooni by identifying opportunities for innovation, conducting market analysis and technology scouting to spot emerging trends. You'll then take these through concept development, creating and refining the concepts that are aligned with Ooni's goals.
What You'll Need to Succeed:

• Proven Track Record:
  Experience in creating successful mechanical and electronic solutions.
• Technical Expertise:
  Strong understanding of mechanical principles, circuit design, control systems, digital and analogue electronics.
• Communication Skills:
  Clear, persuasive communication of technical ideas to key stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving:
  Creative, analytical mindset for innovative solutions and design optimisation.
• Agility:
  "Fail fast" mentality with adaptability to evolving technologies and requirements.
• Team Collaboration:
  Ability to work well in cross-functional teams and lead projects.
• Project Management:
  Experience managing R&D projects, resources, and timelines.
• Continuous Learning:
  Commitment to staying updated with industry trends.
• Attention to Detail:
  Meticulous in design, testing, and documentation to ensure high quality.

You'll get bonus points if you are:

• Experienced in Solidworks FEA simulation
• Experienced in Solidworks Flow simulation
• Experienced in Design for Manufacture
• Experienced in thermodynamics
• Experienced working with overseas manufacturers
