As a Senior Expert Inhouse IFRS Consultant, you will provide advice on complex IFRS accounting and valuation issues, monitor IFRS regulations, support global subsidiaries, prepare accounting guidelines, and lead cross-divisional projects. Your role involves acting as an internal consultant, handling unique transactions, and developing solutions in a dynamic and international environment.
About us:
We are the world’s leading provider of products and services for people with chronic kidney failure, characterized by innovation and excellence. To strengthen our Group Accounting team, we are looking for an experienced senior expert IFRS (m/f/d) who will make a significant contribution to the transparency and clarity of our financial reports and thus further drive the success of our company.
Your tasks:
- Advice on complex IFRS accounting and valuation issues in an international environment.
- Monitoring and implementation of changes to IFRS regulations.
- Supporting the global subsidiaries regarding complex IFRS accounting issues.
- Preparation and maintenance of group wide IFRS accounting guidelines.
- Management of cross-divisional projects for the implementation of new IFRS accounting requirements.
- Preparation of selected notes.
What makes this role unique:
- Variety of tasks: Your work is anything but standardized. You will be confronted with new transactions, issues and standards that require your expertise and creativity. Typical issues could include assessments of hybrid contracts like virtual PPAs, IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 topics, as well as complex acquisition issues or questions to impairment tests.
- In-house consulting: You will act as an internal consultant and coach for various contacts, including senior management, and work in changing project teams on a wide range of issues. You will also be called upon to interpret standards in cases without sufficient commentary literature.
- Learn and grow: By working in mixed project teams, you will continuously learn - be it about Power Purchase Agreements, Software implementations, acquisitions, or goodwill impairment tests. Everyone in the team learns from the others and becomes well-versed in various IFRS standards.
- Cross-functional and global: You are a global contact and work cross-functionally to develop the best solutions for the Group. You will support international subsidiaries and ensure consistent reporting.
Special challenges:
- Occurrence of ad-hoc situations: Your ability to adapt, change and rethink daily priorities is an important skill. Flexibility and the ability to find efficient solutions under time pressure are therefore essential.
- Complexity and depth: Your work begins where standard literature ends. You will be confronted with complex and less regulated issues that require your in-depth analysis and innovative solutions.
Your profile:
- Degree in business administration with a focus on accounting.
- Relevant experience in IFRS, ideally in an international corporate environment.
- Sound knowledge of IFRS and their application in a global context.
- Structured and analytical way of working as well as high motivation and resilience.

We offer:
- A responsible and varied job in a dynamic environment.
- The opportunity to make a significant contribution to the further development and transparency of our financial reporting.
