About the Role

As a Senior Marketing Analyst at DataCamp, you will play a pivotal role in driving our paid marketing strategy through data-driven insights. Reporting to the Marketing Analytics Manager, you'll be deeply involved in data quality assurance, marketing channel reporting, LTV estimation, marketing mix modeling, and incrementality testing. Your work will directly influence our marketing decisions and strategies, enhancing our reach and effectiveness.

You will influence changes by bringing data to the table, and promoting data-driven development and decision-making. To be successful you will need to collaborate with a strong team of marketing leaders, data scientists, data engineers and software engineers. You will get to do all of this while leveraging DataCamp's rich data and state-of-the-art data science infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Generate comprehensive reports and dashboards for marketing channel performance, providing actionable insights for optimization.
  • Estimate and monitor customer lifetime value (LTV) to guide marketing strategies and budget allocation.
  • Develop, implement, and sustain attribution and marketing mix models to link marketing tactics to both short-term and long-term business outcomes.
  • Conduct incrementality testing to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing team members, data scientists, and data engineers to align data practices and insights with business objectives.
  • Mentor and support team members in analytics best practices, raising the analytics IQ of the marketing team.
  • Develop and maintain high standards of data quality, ensuring accuracy and consistency across marketing channels.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Is fluent with AI, capable of using it to magnify success for them & their stakeholders
  • Has a passion for DataCamp’s mission of data literacy
  • Has a proven track record of success in analytics for performance marketing
  • Has 4+ years of experience in marketing analytics
  • Demonstrated experience in LTV estimation, attribution modeling, marketing mix modeling and marketing performance analysis
  • Is highly skilled in SQL, R (Tidyverse) or Python
  • Has 2+ years of experience using BI Tools (Tableau, Looker, etc.)
  • Has strong storytelling skills with a track record of presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Has strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to come to rigorous and defensible solutions to complex and open-ended problems
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Knowledge of web analytics tracking and tools like GTM, GA4, Adobe Analytics, Heap, etc.
  • Has hands-on experience with data pipelines via tools such as dbt or Airflow.
