The Pension Administration Business Area is split into four top level functions: Client Management, Operations Management, Finance and People.
The Operations Delivery and Operational Support teams are responsible for delivering core services to corporate clients and members. We strive to provide efficient, effective and high quality service at all levels.
The Pension Administration Client Management teams are the prime responsible group for outward client facing activity, Business Development, Marketing & Bid, Proposition & Pricing, Client Onboarding and ongoing Client Relationship Management. We play a vital part in ensuring that that the groundwork for successful and profitable service delivery is executed efficiently and effectively.
We now have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Operations Manager to work on a hybrid basis in either of our London, Amersham or Guildford offices.
The Pension Administration Senior Operations Manager role is responsible for the oversight and delivery of operational services in line with strategic functional area objectives, ensuring these are executed with excellence and efficiency. This role encompasses a broad scope, managing complex operations and diverse client needs
Accountabilities
Contributing to the development of strategic plans for the function area and creating implementation plans for the specific function team.
Executing strategic initiatives within the designated function area team.
Supporting business development and client retention strategies as required.
Ensuring the team consistently delivers excellent client service (internal or external).
Collaborating with internal business area teams to ensure alignment of objectives.
Driving team development and managing performance effectively.
Responsibilities
Strategically planning and overseeing the services delivered by the function area team, ensuring alignment with the firm’s objectives and regulatory requirements.
Leading and managing service delivery to foster innovation and enhance performance in line with the firm’s strategic goals.
Monitoring team performance with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and strategic contribution to the firm’s success.
Ensuring the delivery of high-quality, responsive services that meet the needs of members, clients, and the business, while maximizing efficiency and effectiveness.
Guaranteeing accurate and timely service delivery to all stakeholders, upholding the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Ensuring full adherence to regulatory requirements where applicable, including statutory deadlines and GDPR, with robust risk mitigation strategies in place.
Applying a commercial lens to all activities, challenging cost-benefit assumptions to drive efficiency and value.
Maintaining consistent, transparent, and efficient services to ensure operational excellence.
Promoting a culture of “Right First Time” (RFT), first contact resolution, and continuous improvement through quality and productivity measures.
Optimising the balance between front and back-office functions to ensure high-quality service delivery, leveraging best practices and innovative solutions.
Role modelling performance and behavioral standards, including establishing clear communication pathways through 121s and team meetings, coaching and promoting a continuous growth mentality
We would love to hear from you if you:
Have experience leading high performing, commercially driven teams preferably in a pension administration (or similar) background.
Are passionate about process improvement and embraces change
Possess Strong IT skills to perform all aspects of work efficiently
Have high professionalism skills
Are a proven effective communicator
