See Yourself in the Team
Join the crew behind Ceba2.0, Australia’s first Gen AI-powered customer-facing platform in financial services. We’re building the next generation of intelligent digital experiences and we’re looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to help us scale it.
Ceba, the bank’s award-winning virtual assistant, has handled more than 15.5 million interactions since its launch in 2018, handling everything from card activation to loan payment deferrals. With over 60% of incoming contacts now handled end-to-end within the assistant, it's freeing up live agents to work on more complex cases, and transforming customer experiences.
Your Impact and Contribution
You’ll be the bridge between infrastructure and innovation, designing the foundation that enables AI to thrive. In this role, you may expect to:
- Design, build and maintain cloud-native platform infrastructure across Azure and AWS.
- Develop backend services and automation pipelines that support ML workflows and Gen AI agents.
- Integrate Microsoft Power Platform and CoPilot Studio into CI/CD pipelines to support rapid experimentation and deployment.
- Partner with ML engineers to ensure the platform meets evolving needs for model training, deployment, and observability.
- Champion platform reliability, security, and compliance in line with Group risk appetite and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with a Product Owner based in India, thus flexibility across time zones is essential.
Your Skills and Experience
This role is ideal for a backend engineer who thrives on building robust, secure, and scalable platforms that empower ML engineers to develop autonomous agents. As such, we're looking for a developer with:
- Strong backend engineering experience (language agnostic, but Python is a big plus).
- Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure (Azure is primary; AWS exposure is helpful).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, ARM templates).
- Familiarity with Power Platform and CoPilot Studio, or a strong interest in learning and integrating them.
- A disciplined approach to engineering in a regulated environment—balancing innovation with compliance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
