Description

BOB is a unique Hybrid Layer 2 that combines Bitcoin’s security with EVM smart contracts. Powered by BitVM, it enables BTC to be deployed into DeFi in a trust-minimized way. BOB also operates BTC-secured bridges to Ethereum and other chains, providing BTC holders with the most secure and decentralized access to Bitcoin DeFi products.

The Hybrid model has been designed to merge the strengths of Bitcoin and Ethereum, fusing Bitcoin's security and capital with Ethereum's DeFi innovation and versatility. By placing BTC at the heart of DeFi, BOB can unlock new use cases and trillions in liquidity. This makes BOB the ideal home for Bitcoin DeFi - the best and safest place to earn yield on your Bitcoin.

As a Senior Product Designer for BOB, you will oversee the lifecycle of each of our products, from conception and requirements to design and delivery. You will work with the product and development teams to design and deliver new products, and improve and iterate existing ones (BOB Gateway, BOB Fusion, BOB Stake). You will also be responsible for research, competitor analysis, and UX. Your main priority will be to answer the question: What products best meet the needs of our users, and our business objectives?

What you will do

  • Work with the product team to identify user needs based on user behaviour, user requirements, on- and off-chain data, and business objectives.
  • Proactively identify high level business requirements and decide what products or applications help achieve them.
  • Work with the product team to ensure that all of our products have defined and understood objectives and KPIs.
  • Work with the development team to design, build, test and iterate applications.
  • Own all designs including files and assets (Figma etc.).
  • Conduct ongoing competitor analysis and research, and remain up to date with changes to both our immediate market (Bitcoin and Ethereum L2s, DeFi) and the wider Web3 ecosystem.
Requirements
  • Deep knowledge of Web3, crypto, DeFi, Bitcoin and Ethereum L2s.
  • Proven experience of product design, UX, and application design.
  • Eagerness to improve products through fast experimentation, A/B testing, and a data-driven approach.
  • Experience with Figma.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills in a pro-active, fast-paced, and remote startup environment.
Benefits
  • Research-oriented team
  • Solve novel problems
  • Stock options
  • Remote working
  • 30-day vacation
  • Allowance for a co-working space
  • Yearly retreat
