Department Overview

Product engineering is about taking full ownership of product delivery – from writing high-quality code and ensuring predictable, fast delivery to adopting modern tools that increase team efficiency. It’s not about completing tasks, but about achieving tangible outcomes such as reducing operational load, accelerating development, and making a direct impact on the daily operations of the business. A Product Engineer is the reliable driver of the team’s success, combining technical excellence with relentless focus on results and impact.

Role Overview

The mission of the Senior Product Engineer is to drive significant business outcomes by leading the delivery of complex technical "missions" and elevating engineering practices across the organization. Their impact is demonstrated by consistently exceeding core engineering metrics and by dedicating their expertise to large-scale initiatives that deliver strategic value. As a role model for technical excellence, they also multiply their impact by mentoring other engineers and leading Technical Guild initiatives that improve standards for multiple teams.

This role, as part of our group technology team, has a direct impact on the daily operations of all our businesses within the group.

What will be your key responsibilities:
  • Drive mission-critical outcomes by dedicating at least 50% of your capacity to leading a key mission as its designated Epic Owner, ensuring its successful delivery.

  • Elevate engineering standards by leading at least two impactful Technical Guild initiatives per year that result in new practices being adopted across multiple teams.

  • Set the bar for excellence by consistently exceeding the core expectations of the Product Engineer role, maintaining top-tier metrics in delivery (>95% on-time) and quality (zero critical bugs).

  • Multiply team capability by mentoring junior engineers, providing technical guidance, conducting constructive code reviews, and fostering their professional growth.

  • Contribute to system design and architectural discussions, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and robust.

  • Proactively identify and address technical debt and areas for process improvement to enhance overall engineering effectiveness.

What experience should you have:

Required

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.

  • Demonstrated experience in leading technical projects or features from concept to launch.

  • Deep expertise in system design, data modeling, and application architecture.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience mentoring other engineers.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills to manage large-scale missions effectively.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience presenting technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Active participation in technical communities or open-source projects.
