About us:

BVNK provides modern payment infrastructure for businesses. We unify banks and blockchains in a single platform. With BVNK, businesses can send and receive stablecoin payments, convert between currencies, and add stablecoin payments to their checkout. Using our flexible platform, and robust global licensing and compliance expertise, innovators can launch new payment products quickly and compliantly.

We are a diverse team spread across the UK, Europe, South Africa, the US, and APAC, with a shared belief that all payment flows will interact with crypto in the coming decade, and BVNK will be at the forefront of this transformation of the financial system. We have raised $50M in Series B funding from top investors, including Haun Ventures, Tiger Global, and Coinbase Ventures, and we're looking for smart, ambitious people to help us build the next generation of payments.

We're incredibly honored to have made Newsweek's list of The Top 100 Global Most Loved Workplaces 2 years running (2023 and 2024) and to have been recognized by LinkedIn as one of the Top 20 Startups in the UK in 2024.

About this role in the team:

The Fiat Payments Processing Platform is central to BVNK’s fiat capabilities. The platform aims to enable other teams working with fiat payments (Banking, Virtual Accounts, TechFinance, GSN/FX) to scale and decrease the delivery cycle. You’d also enable Layer1 to leverage BVNK’s fiat capabilities, which is key for our Fiat Orchestration strategy. The role includes a high level of cross-team collaboration and demands strong payment processing and technical knowledge.

Our Product and Engineering organisation is split into small autonomous teams, which are each built to be able to execute their own strategies independently whilst collaborating with the rest of the organisation. You’ll own the Fiat Processing Platform as we grow this vital product and will be directly responsible for the multibillion-dollar volumes we process.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

  • Define the vision for the fundamental operations of the Fiat Processing Platform.
  • Identify and adopt best practices in payment processing.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from Compliance, Finance, Legal, Banking Partnerships and Financial Operations teams to define product requirements.
  • Partner with engineers within your team to design, scope, and implement new features.
  • Lead the team in agile ceremonies, including planning sessions, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Work closely with other Product Managers and engineers to ensure platform functionality is built for scalability.
  • Foster and contribute to our evolving product-led culture company-wide and within the Product team.

What we need from you:

  • Have experience working in a FinTech/Payments environment in a Product, Engineering, or Payment Operations role
  • Have a deep understanding of how payment processing functions
  • Experience working with engineers daily, and leading the team with context rather than authority
  • You’re customer-obsessed, always putting the customer experience first
  • Strong collaboration skills - you’d consider yourself a “people person”, just as happy working with engineers on specific tasks as you are presenting to the company on KPIs and feature launches, gathering feedback from customers and the sales team, and generally working cross-functionally across the business
  • Experience in a heavily data-driven environment, using data to guide decision-making at every stage of the product life cycle
  • A passion for growth, obsessively focussing on how we can grow usage and adoption of our products

What you can expect from us:

  • Fair and competitive salary at every stage of your growth
  • Meaningful ownership in the business through our employee option scheme
  • Flexible working hours, with hybrid working at its heart
  • A culture built on passionate growth-minded people
  • A flexible approach to holiday
  • Opportunities to travel to our offices around the world
  • An open and creative environment where you can help us define the future of BVNK, its culture, and its opportunity sets

At BVNK, we are focused on building a diverse and inclusive team. While you may not meet all of our requirements, we’d encourage you to apply if you meet the majority of our expectations. You may be a great fit for this role or another role in our team.
