The Role:
As an experienced Sales Manager or Product Development expert in the enterprise server or data storage (hardware) sphere, you will take the lead in working with customers to develop quality products for the enterprise, data centre, OEM and VAR markets.
Guiding the agenda to define and expand our product range into the enterprise server market, you will work with Suppliers, Marketing, E-Commerce, and Sales teams to design products to target customer needs and successfully bring these propositions to market.

Main Job Responsibilities:
- This role offers the opportunity to develop and expand our Solid State Drive (SSD) and enterprise storage product portfolios, working with our target customers to design specified and specialist products
- Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to work with enterprise customers, value added resellers, data centres, and OEMs
- Design our enterprise storage products into our target markets, producing pertinent technical and marketing documentation
- Continuously monitor product costs and actively negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best pricing and terms possible
- Work with and visit suppliers to develop an understanding of new products, new technologies, and current trends in the memory market
- Seek out new suppliers, and conduct analysis of their competitive advantages and quality management
- Monitor and develop strategies to respond to market competition
- Set price level and lead-time guidance for the sales team, alongside management
- Train the sales and marketing teams on products, key selling points, product positioning and providing technical support to customers
- Taking responsibility for inventory levels, develop new product ranges and ensuring successful launches
- Establish go-to-market strategy and lead the product launch process
- Work with the sales team, and use product sales data to develop sales forecasts
- Work with and build relationships with vendors to help develop Product Road Maps and introduce innovative and first-to-market products
- At least 5 years’ experience of working with storage solution products, whether SSD or enterprise server / data centre solution products, with a background in distributing, reselling or specifying enterprise SSD products
- Strong commercial understanding and knowledge of end user requirements in the delivery of new generation technologies into data centres, enterprise SSD and server markets
- The ability to design and deliver technical products to market specifications
- Experience of working with digital and e-commerce teams to support marketing and sales of products
- Experience of inventory planning and demand / sales forecasting is essential
- Must be able to demonstrate a proven ability to buy, negotiate and set pricing
- Enjoys taking on responsibility, shows strong initiative, and isn’t afraid of challenging the status quo to bring new ideas
