Who we are

Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations™ Cloud, which is a platform that enables organizations that depend on physical operations to harness Internet of Things (IoT) data to develop actionable insights and improve their operations. At Samsara, we are helping improve the safety, efficiency and sustainability of the physical operations that power our global economy. Representing more than 40% of global GDP, these industries are the infrastructure of our planet, including agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing — and we are excited to help digitally transform their operations at scale.

Working at Samsara means you’ll help define the future of physical operations and be on a team that’s shaping an exciting array of product solutions, including Video-Based Safety, Vehicle Telematics, Apps and Driver Workflows, Equipment Monitoring, and Site Visibility. As part of a recently public company, you’ll have the autonomy and support to make an impact as we build for the long term.

About the role:

Our customers aim to deploy and manage Samsara to maximize value for their organizations, requiring their administrators to manage access to Samsara capabilities and monitor team usage effectively. In this role, you will work backwards from our administrator users to set the vision and deliver the roadmap for features like platform settings, tags and attributes, activity logs, and license management capabilities. As a Senior Product Manager for the Admin Experiences (ADX) team, you will innovate to make Samsara a delight to adopt, roll out, and operate while ensuring our features are scalable, performant, and secure.

In this role, you will build an understanding of our largest enterprise customers with complex operations and organizational structures. You will regularly meet with customers, including administrators and leadership teams, and dive into the data to generate insights.  You’ll report directly to the Director of Product for Admin Experiences and will work closely with your PM and engineering partners within Platform. You’ll also partner with colleagues across Design, Customer Success, Data Science, Sales, and Marketing teams.

Over the next few years, we’re looking to evolve core parts of our platform experience to support our rapidly growing user base and product portfolio. We believe that achieving an integrated, seamless platform experience is key to Samsara’s success as we offer a growing portfolio of capabilities to our customers. We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to help with this evolution and tackle the new challenges it will bring.

As a member of the Product team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end success of new products and features that delight our customers and further Samsara’s vision. Our approach to product management is rooted in a deep understanding of the customer. You will learn about our customers’ operations, identify the most meaningful problems we can solve for them, and develop a product vision that maximizes Samsara’s impact on the market. This role is fast-paced and highly cross-functional—one day you might be wearing a hard hat visiting a customer at a construction site, and the next you’ll be whiteboarding a new UX flow with the design and engineering teams.

This is a hybrid position requiring travel to our London office 2-4 times per month. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this role.

You should apply if:

  • You want to impact the industries that run our world: Your efforts will result in real-world impact—helping to keep the lights on, get food into grocery stores, reduce emissions, and most importantly, ensure workers return home safely.
  • You are the architect of your own career: If you put in the work, this role won’t be your last at Samsara. We set up our employees for success and have built a culture that encourages rapid career development, countless opportunities to experiment and master your craft in a hyper growth environment.
  • You’re energized by our opportunity: The vision we have to digitize large sectors of the global economy requires your full focus and best efforts to bring forth creative, ambitious ideas for our customers.
  • You want to be with the best: At Samsara, we win together, celebrate together and support each other. You will be surrounded by a high-calibre team that will encourage you to do your best.

In this role, you will:

  • Own the vision and roadmap for features that help our customers use Samsara across their organizations.
  • Understand the complexity, scale, and business concerns of our diverse customer base.
  • Leverage data for insights about our customers and market positioning to ensure effective prioritization, and define long-term strategy across products and features.
  • Work with our talented engineering and design teams to re-imagine and launch new features across our mobile, web and API interfaces.
  • Collaborate with downstream product teams and stakeholders who depend on your team’s capabilities.
  • Identify technology trends that influence our product design and customers’ expectations.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to drive the team’s quarterly release plans and long-term roadmap.
  • Communicate across product line leadership to share your roadmap, evangelize your priorities, and seek out areas of joint innovation.
  • Partner with customer-facing teams to close strategic accounts, resolve escalations, and maintain relationships with top customers.
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural values (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices.

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • Strong technical understanding, with an ability to grasp technical concepts & establish credibility with engineers.
  • Experience defining features in the enterprise B2B software space.
  • A proven track-record of delivering outstanding results for customers & the business, managing significant complexity and bold timelines. You also have a bias-to-action and aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty.
  • Demonstrated experience defining and executing product roadmap for technical areas, and using analytics/data to measure progress toward goals and make investment choices.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle and track record of strong partnership with diverse engineering stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills. Must be comfortable presenting to customers and internal audiences, including senior executives. Can drive cross-organizational alignment with high judgment and effectiveness.

  • An appreciation for designing products, features, and frameworks for users with varying levels of technological expertise.
  • Product management experience in the cloud infrastructure space and/or on products with a vertically integrated hardware+software stack.
  • MBA, or graduate degree in a technical field.
