Job Description

Wise is looking for a Product Manager for Risk Assessment API to join our team. You'll be responsible for crafting the vision and strategy for a lightning-Fast API ⚡ / Data Integration Layer for our Risk Assessment Engine. This engine serves as a core component to keep Wise safe and bad actors at bay.

Your work will unlock benefits across the company:

  • Accelerate Wise’s Mission: You will directly impact product velocity, enabling teams to ship new products and features in days, not quarters. By providing core risk assessments  "out-of-the-box" through a single integration, you'll streamline the path to market for new offerings

  • Enable Smarter Risk Management: By creating standardized data ledgers, you will unlock ML at Wise scale, allowing our data scientists to build cross-product models and compound our risk intelligence.

  • Deliver Lightning-Fast Performance: You will be obsessed with the speed of the API itself, ensuring risk assessments happen in near real-time. This provides clear, predictable outcomes instantly, enabling smoother customer journeys, reducing transaction friction, and unlocking faster, safer money movement across all our products

  • Build for the Future: Your API and its clear data contracts are the foundation for future growth. You will empower our Global and Regional product teams, simplify regulatory reporting, and eventually support third-party use cases.

You'll lead the creation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and the product roadmap, working with your team to define the product's direction. Your role is to communicate a long-term strategy with gravitas, while also keeping the team aligned and focused on near-term goals and milestones.

You will act as a key advisor and collaborator on deeply technical topics, helping to distill complex concepts and ensure technical decisions align with the broader product strategy - aligning with the vision, roadmap, and stakeholder expectations.

You'll serve as the key point of contact, collaborating closely with growth teams to understand their goals and needs. By staying connected to their challenges, you'll ensure the products you're building directly supports their objectives and fuels the company's overall growth. You are the ultimate owner of the product vision, ensuring it remains both a foundational enabler and a powerful growth engine for the entire business.

Qualifications

Experience: You have 3+ years of product management experience, with a significant portion in a platform or B2B SaaS environment. You have experience managing technical software products from vision to going to market.

Education: A BA/BS degree in engineering, Data Science,  business, finance, or other related fields.

Skills: You possess strong analytical, communication, and influencing skills, and you're excellent at managing competing priorities. You have experience with financial crime prevention or RegTech. You have strong familiarity with regulated markets and understand the complexities of data privacy and compliance.

Good to Haves

  • You have a deep understanding of financial crime technology, payments, and financial systems.
  • You have working knowledge of laws, regulations, and risk management practices for financial services.
  • You have a background working in large-scale user-facing products, or high volume business products.
  • You have worked in high growth or early stage companies.
