About the Role:The Stream Processing & Analytics team at Confluent owns our Confluent Cloud for Apache Flink product and is on a mission to build the first truly cloud-native, complete and secure stream processing platform. We enable our customers to derive valuable insights and take immediate actions from their data in motion.
We are looking for a seasoned Product Manager for our Confluent Cloud for Apache Flink product, who will help define a strategic roadmap for this area, maintain a tight feedback loop with our customers, and work closely with our engineering teams. Possible areas of focus include elasticity, autoscaling, multi-tenancy and observability.
What You Will Do:
Develop a strategic vision of where to invest our effort to help our customers succeed
Think through a great end-to-end product experience with a focus on detailed user stories
Create a roadmap to deliver that experience to customers
Engage with customers, users and internal stakeholders to discover new product opportunities and to create a feedback loop throughout delivery
Align with other teams to ensure our roadmap is unified and unblocked
What You Will Bring:
Minimum 2+ years of experience as a software product manager, ideally for a developer product, and 4+ years of experience in overall technical roles
Experience defining product functional specifications including API, CLI and GUI
Strong written communication skills and experience working in a collaborative and remote environment
Strong technical competency, especially with distributed data systems, public and private clouds, and stream processing
Experience liaising with cross-functional teams, communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences
What Gives You an Edge:
Experience as a Product Manager for a SaaS company is ideal
Experience in working with Open Source communities is a plus
Basic coding experience is great to have!
