The Role

At our Livingston Design Centre, we are looking for a Senior Project Manager who thrives at the intersection of technical excellence and strategic business development. You won't just manage timelines; you will lead cross-functional teams through the full product development lifecycle, ensuring our customers’ most ambitious goals are met with precision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Business Development: Lead the customer development process to win new business and cultivate long-term, repeat partnerships.

  • Complex Project Leadership: Manage customer expectations across the full value stream, navigating the challenges of product development; scope, budget, quality and risk management.

  • Financial Excellence: Drive projects toward successful financial execution, utilizing advanced business systems to project revenue and opportunities accurately.

  • Collaborative Resource Management: Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless product introduction into Plexus Manufacturing Solutions sites.

  • Talent Mentorship: Actively identify and develop the next generation of Plexus leaders, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.

  • Work-Sharing Advocacy: Drive collaboration across our international footprint by identifying strategic work-sharing opportunities. You’ll balance local project needs with the capabilities of our  global teams, fostering a culture of knowledge exchange and leveraging our collective design expertise.

  • Continuous Improvement: Act as a catalyst for change by constantly evaluating and improving processes. You will refine our operational frameworks to eliminate silos, increase efficiency, and elevate the standard of our global output.

Who You Are

You are a decisive problem-solver with a deep understanding of how products are realized. You excel in high-pressure environments and possess the negotiation skills to align diverse stakeholders.

Your Background:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree (required).

  • Experience: 8+ years of related experience in engineering or project management (preferred).

  • Technical Depth: A detailed understanding of at least one engineering discipline (e.g., analog, digital, mechanical, software, or PCB).

  • Process Mastery: Extensive knowledge of product development and realization processes.

  • Leadership: Strong team-building skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams through demanding schedules.

The Essentials:

  • Skills in decision-making, problem-solving, and communication.

  • Strong organizational and presentation abilities.

  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as required to maintain high-level partnerships.

  • Act as the primary connector between cross-functional departments. You are highly skilled at influencing without authority, translating high-level program goals into actionable results while ensuring all global design hubs remain aligned.

  • Navigate complex environments by managing both internal and external stakeholders. You will be the point of contact that ensures transparency, builds trust, and keeps diverse interests moving toward a singular vision.
