We are seeking an experienced Technical Operations Manager to lead our Technical Operations function across Digital Workplace, Infrastructure, Cloud Platforms, Application Support, Integration, and Database Services. You'll drive operational excellence, service performance, and customer outcomes while leading operational teams as one cohesive function.

What the role looks like :

  • Effectively manage the delivery of low and medium-risk projects, lead pre-sales activity, and participate in sector resourcing and business planning
  • Manage the delivery of multiple projects through the full lifecycle on high-risk projects, identifying and managing risks, issues and the project schedule in order to meet our customers’ expectations and to generate repeat business
  • Present a professional approach in customer communications in order to build strong relationships with customer contacts
  • Effectively manage the project commercials to ensure sector profitability and growth, and to manage work in progress and aged debt
  • Drive additional value from projects through variations and follow-on work to improve sector profitability and revenue
  • Effectively manage, motivate and communicate with project teams to ensure that each member has a clear role and set of responsibilities
  • Take the lead in pre-sales activity to develop high- quality, achievable proposals
  • Take responsibility for sector resourcing through recruitment and resource management activity to help maintain a balanced and flexible resource pool
  • Participate in sector strategy and business planning activities to support company and sector growth
  • Administer line management of assigned staff, to maximise their career development potential
