The Opportunity:

We are looking for two enthusiastic and experienced Senior Project and Programme Managers to join Project Services which is part of the Information Services Group (ISG). We are an established specialist team of dynamic and friendly project and programme delivery professionals supporting IT and business change at the University. We have two opportunities: 

1. A role focusing on a variety of projects, including improving business efficiency, enhancing student experience, maintaining IT compliance and enabling digital transformation.
2. A role working with our People & Money service. Working in close partnership with HR, Finance, Procurement and Payroll teams, the People & Money Service delivers the support and evolution of the University of Edinburgh’s Oracle Fusion system delivering outcomes that underpin the University’s Strategy 2030 and Strategic Performance Framework.

The posts are open-ended, and have a hybrid working pattern, involving working on campus one to two days a week and when necessary for in-person meetings and activities.  Working hours are ideally 35 hours per week, but we will consider flexible working requests.

The Applications Directorate develops, implements and supports IT to meet the complex and demanding needs of the University’s staff and students. The directorate works with a wide range of colleagues in research, teaching and support groups to turn their requirements into effective solutions and this includes work such as developing web applications and integrated workflows for complex business processes. It is also involved in the procurement and implementation of package solutions.
