Our team are currently looking to recruit a Senior SOC Analyst to join the Global Information Security team based in Edinburgh within Computershare Shared Services.

A role you will love

Our Senior Security Operations analysts are based in our incredible offices within the heart of Edinburgh, St Andrews square with fantastic transport links all around. 

This hybrid role works closely with our partners including the Service Desk and NOC teams to collaboratively identify and resolve threats to Computershare. 

In-line with these partners, this role is built on a shift pattern where you will work 12-hour shifts over 2 days, 2 nights, followed by 4 days off. During the week you will be required to work in the Edinburgh office. From Friday nightshift - Monday day shift, you will be expected to work from home (same applies for bank holidays).

Some key responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced triage, correlation, and investigation of alerts across multiple telemetry sources (SIEM, EDR, network, and cloud environments).
  • Lead initial containment and investigative response activities with the SOC, ensuring smooth escalation to the CIRT function for full incident coordination.
  • Act as the escalation point for SOC Analysts, validating alerts, refining detections, and ensuring appropriate prioritisation of security events.
  • Maintain situational awareness of global threat activity, adapting monitoring logic and response actions to emerging risks.
  • Coordinate and communicate with relevant stakeholders during major security incidents, ensuring timely updates and accurate documentation.
  • Assist in post-incident reviews, identify root causes, and drive improvement actions across the SOC.
  • Mentor and coach SOC Analysts, fostering technical growth and operational maturity.

What will you bring to the role? 

The Global Information Security (GIS) team is responsible for driving the development, deployment, monitoring and management of information and cyber security across the Computershare businesses, globally. 

As a Senior SOC Analyst, you are in the 2nd line of defence. 

Other key skills required for the role include:

  • Extensive experience as a SOC Analyst.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience of working in an Information Security based team is preferable.
  • Ability to learn new tools & technologies.
  • Ability to follow and improve processes and documentation.
