Department OverviewThe PremierOne CAD and Mobile team develops software for public safety organizations to manage emergency dispatch and reporting. The team is part of the Motorola Video and Software organization which builds secure, scalable and reliable on-premise and cloud based products to serve public safety and enterprise markets throughout the world providing sophisticated and customized workflows and cost effective solutions to municipalities of all sizes.
Job Description
Work as a member of the Forward Deployed Engineering team whose mission is to ensure success for our public safety customers. The successful candidate will join a highly technical team eager to solve complex customer problems by replicating problem scenarios, performing hands-on troubleshooting, performing analysis of software and systems to determine root cause, and developing software solutions. Our team works closely with our customers, our customer support organization and the broader engineering team to improve our PremierOne CAD and Mobile product’s functionality and performance.
Basic Requirements
- 6+ years of experience developing complex and scalable C#/.NET applications in Visual Studio.
- Deep understanding of Object Oriented programming principles, design patterns, and best practices, with proven experience applying them to large-scale software projects.
- Extensive experience developing applications utilizing Microsoft SQL Server databases, including advanced query optimization techniques, database design, and performance tuning.
- Strong experience with UI programming in C#/.NET, including familiarity with multiple UI frameworks and experience leading the design and implementation of user interfaces.
- Advanced debugging skills, including experience with memory dumps, performance profiling, and root cause analysis.
- Proven experience developing and deploying Windows Services, WCF services, and multi-threaded applications.
- Expert proficiency with Git and experience working with distributed version control systems in a collaborative development environment.
- Advanced English language skills, both written and verbal, for effective communication with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively mentor and guide junior developers.
- Strong leadership skills, including experience leading technical teams, providing guidance, and driving project completion.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex technical projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- MS in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
