Department Overview

Job Description

We are looking for a self motivated individual to help move forward the next generation public safety experience, and to work with a team of top experienced professionals to enable mission critical services and solutions.

In this position you will work as a senior software engineer within a scrum team that is responsible for designing, implementing and testing solutions for a variety of landmobile wireless communications products.  This role is expected to help technically lead the team in full lifecycle development using agile development methodologies.  Your tasks will also involve hands-on interaction with product hardware and lab equipment for development, testing, and debugging.


Basic Requirements

  • Bachelors (BS) or Master’s (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • Working experience with C/C++ and object oriented development 
  • Working experience with Linux and/or Unix
  • Advanced debugging skills

Desired Skills:

  • Basic understanding of virtualization technologies such as Docker, Podman etc.
  • Experience with Python
  • Exposure to Agile development practices
  • Experience with Git, Jira
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work with and debug legacy code
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Understanding of real time processing in an embedded environment
