- Perform automated testing on new technologies and features to ensure their reliability and functionality
- Identify and articulate flaws in both the application and the testing process, contributing directly to the improvement of the product's quality
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and other stakeholders to provide valuable input on feature implementations and project requirements
- Write test scenarios and execute them during the testing process to ensure comprehensive coverage
- Enhance and refactor the existing test framework to improve its efficiency and effectiveness
- Investigate and determine the root cause of bugs in areas where you have domain expertise
- Define test plans for projects and features, ensuring that the testing process is well-structured and thorough
- Create separate test frameworks for projects that can be reasonably automated, tailored to specific requirements
- Manage and triage reported defects, working closely with the development team to resolve issues promptly
- Continuously improve the testing infrastructure to enhance its reliability and scalability
- Stay updated on features delivered by other teams, allowing a broad view of possible interactions between subsystems
- Actively contribute to the codebase by providing updates and utilities to support the testing process
- At least 4 years of experience using automated testing tools and procedures in an agile environment
- Capable of investigating automation risks and handling failures effectively
- Experience using Playwright for test automation is required
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript is essential, as our automation framework is built using these languages
- Familiarity with other JavaScript testing tools such as Jest, Mocha, Cypress, or Puppeteer is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to enhance both processes and application quality, taking initiatives to drive improvements
- Proficient in identifying optimal solutions for ambiguous and complex problems, prioritizing tasks effectively
- Knowledge of design patterns and their application in test automation
- Able to define technical solutions and operational processes to elevate team performance
- Skill in developing custom testing solutions rather than solely relying on known templates/practices
- Strong critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills in English, enabling effective collaboration with a diverse team
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with innovative approaches to testing and best practices in the field
