About the Role

SandboxAQ’s Cybersecurity division is looking to hire a Senior Staff Product Designer to help define and build out our cryptography management product platform, AQtive Guard. In this role, you will partner with product and engineering to design workflows that allow CISOs (Chief Information Security Officers) and their teams to monitor, diagnose, and triage threats and risks for both a pre- and post quantum cryptography world. You will bring customer requirements to life through wireframes, mockups, and prototypes, which will be refined through workshops, user interviews and other stakeholder interactions. Collaborating closely with our product and engineering team, you will ensure that the features you design are effectively implemented, and achieve and raise the bar of design within the organization. Your core responsibilities will include defining the user experience, conducting research to validate user interactions, and crafting engaging and effective product experiences.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the craft of design of the user experience of SandboxAQ’s cryptography management platform by creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that effectively communicate design concepts and user interactions.
  • Contribute to, influence, and drive the vision of AQtive Guard with the Product team to help guide and inspire the organization.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and developers to gather and understand design requirements, identify risks and opportunities and solve them collectively to ensure seamless design implementation.
  • Thrive in ambiguity with a bias for action, breaking down long, complex projects into executable units of work.
  • Conduct workshops, qualitative interviews, usability testing, and other user research methods to inform and validate design decisions.
  • Present designs to stakeholders, including users, engineers, and product managers, and iterate based on feedback.
  • Drive the visual design of the user interface, by developing/evolving a style guide and/or design system, ensuring consistency across UI components and user interactions, and providing detailed specifications to front-end developers.
  • Distil complex and dense information into clarifying data visualizations and views for the various lenses of user archetypes.
  • Analyze product analytics to improve user interactions with the application.
  • Deliver regular customer facing product demos for presales activities demonstrating the product’s differentiated capabilities.
  • Interface with global system integrators (GSIs) such as Accenture, EY, and Deloitte to build user interfaces relevant and supportive to Sandbox’s strategic partnership efforts.
  • Maintain dotted-line, cross-departmental connection to and collaboration with the broader design functions in other SandboxAQ Business Units

Who You Are

  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in Product Design, UX/UI, User Research.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in User Experience, Visual Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or another relevant field.
  • A portfolio demonstrating your passion for and high design craft for clear, intuitive, and user-centered designs. Work examples should demonstrate:
    • Product design skills (visual and interaction)
    • Design thinking from problem to ideation to solution
    • Ability to work in a cross-functional team
    • How your work guided and impacted the business.
  • Experience conducting user research utilizing various methods, including but not limited to usability studies, contextual inquiry, and surveys.
  • Skilled in problem-solving, analyzing research data, identifying end-user pain points, and translating user requirements into design solutions.
  • Proficient in Figma, with knowledge of other design tools (Sketch, Adobe Suite) to produce wireframes and high-fidelity mockups.
  • Demonstrate strong verbal communication and presentation abilities, essential for effectively collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and articulating design concepts to stakeholders
  • Experience working and designing software in complex and/or deeply technical industries

Nice to Haves

  • Understanding of the cybersecurity industry and comprehension of the product offerings of the largest cybersecurity vendors.
  • Familiarity with AI and emerging machine learning workflows.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
