Summary

Deel is looking for a Senior Technical Writer to join the Knowledge Team to build out our documentation and developer guides for APIs and Strategic Integrations.

Are you skilled at navigating APIs, integrations, and translating them into structured, accessible content for diverse audiences?
If you combine strong technical acumen with a passion for clarity, consistency, and developer experience, you might be the writer we’re looking for. The Knowledge Team manages and scales information and expertise about Deel products and services across the organization for internal and external audiences. You’ll have the opportunity to work with other writers and subject matter experts from our Developer Experience and Strategic Integrations team to craft content that supports this critical business pillar at Deel.


Responsibilities 

  • Work with subject matter experts to create clear, accessible technical content for internal and external users

  • Build and maintain a comprehensive product knowledge base for organizational scale

  • Audit and update existing content for clarity and accuracy

  • Collaborate with product and enablement teams to deliver timely release notes and updates

  • Create in-app content to provide users with information when needed

  • Develop API and integration documentation for developers

  • Advise teams on content strategies, best practices, and technical writing standards

  • Implement and enforce content style guidelines for consistency

  • Become an expert on Deel’s products, services, policies, and localized knowledge

  • Use data to identify content gaps, track impact, and recommend tooling and process improvements

  • Play a key part in designing and building Deel’s Developer Hub - a central space for integration guides and API documentation, helping to scale our developer experience

  • Collaborate with the Developer Experience and Strategic Integrations teams to create clear, well-structured content that empowers both internal teams and external users.

  • Design and implement templates to streamline documentation workflows, and share your expertise on best practices to improve content quality across the business


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, English, Communications, Business, or relevant technical field

  • 5+ years of experience as a technical writer

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences

  • Proven experience creating technical documentation, including guides, code examples, and API libraries

  • Strong knowledge of technical information architecture

  • Experience designing infographics to explain technical processes

  • Familiarity with Confluence, Jira, ZenDesk, Figma, and other collaboration tools

  • Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and clarity

  • Experience managing technical writing teams, writing for SaaS/Fintech, UX content, and working with remote teams or cross-cultural audiences are a plus

If you’ve worked in hyper-growth startups or created content for global audiences where English isn’t the first language, we’d especially love to hear from you.

NB: A portfolio showcasing developer content such as API or integration guides will help your application stand out.
