Location: Edinburgh, Hybrid.

A role you will love

As our Senior Test Analyst, you will be responsible for undertaking functional software testing to ensure that the level of quality delivered aligns with the organisational risk appetite through test analysis, design, implementation and execution, in line with agreed plans and strategies.

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver and execute manual testing to ensure software quality and requirement coverage. In the future this might extend to automation testing. 
  • Create traceable test cases, manage test data, and identify and log defects. 
  • Maintain testing tools, processes, and automation frameworks while driving best practices and continuous improvement. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements, communicate progress, and manage risks. 
  • Mentor team members, promote knowledge sharing, and stay current with emerging testing trends and technologies. 
  • Apply scripting, coding, database querying, and support non-functional testing activities where required.

What will you bring to the role

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Test Analyst with strong expertise in analysis, test case design, execution, and defect management. You will be proactive, collaborative, and confident in working with stakeholders to understand requirements, identify risks, and ensure high-quality software delivery.

You will embrace continuous improvement, contribute to testing best practices and automation, communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams, and demonstrate a strong willingness to learn, share knowledge, and support others.

Other key skills required for the role:

  • Strong software testing expertise across test analysis, test case design, execution, defect management, risk assessment, and requirements traceability. 
  • Skilled at gathering requirements from stakeholders and developing a strong understanding of complex systems and business domains. 
  • Proactive in continuous improvement, adopting emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to resolve issues using technical expertise. 
  • Effective communicator and collaborator, able to build relationships, share knowledge, provide updates, and challenge constructively. 
  • Committed to governance, quality standards, and knowledge sharing across teams and global stakeholders. 
  • Works independently while seeking support and guidance when needed.
  • Collaborates successfully with remote and globally distributed teams
