ABOUT THE PROJECT

We are a leading player in the financial technology space, creating innovative solutions that power the modern capital markets. We are currently seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with a deep understanding of equity derivatives to lead the design and development of our sophisticated Equity (EQ) booking and life cycle management system. ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will take the lead in designing, developing, and optimizing our EQ booking system and its full product life cycle. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Front Office (FO), Middle Office (MO), Quant, and more, to ensure that the system meets both technical and business requirements. Your expertise in C# will drive the core of the backend development, with the opportunity to leverage Java skills when needed. We’re looking for someone who can not only architect the system but also mentor junior engineers and take ownership of mission-critical applications that directly impact the business.

THINGS YOU WILL DO

• Lead System Design & Development: Design, develop, and optimize the EQ booking and life cycle system for scalability and performance.
• Collaborate with Teams: Work with Front Office, Middle Office, and Quant teams to define requirements and integrate pricing models.
• System Integration & Performance: Ensure smooth integration with other systems via APIs and optimize system performance.
• Mentor & Guide Developers: Provide technical mentorship and set best practices for the team.
• Troubleshoot & Solve Issues: Proactively resolve technical issues and make decisions to maintain system functionality.
• Ownership & Accountability: Take ownership of projects and deliver high-quality solutions on time.

TECH STACK: C#, .NET 6-9, .NET Core, SQL, Message Bus/RabbitMQ, Redis/MongoDB, RESTful APis, microservices

Nice to have: AWS/GCP/Azure, Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes

Must have: Capital Markets experience/ banking experience/ financial services experience

SKILLS & EXPERIENCES YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE

• Strong expertise, min 12 years of experience in C#, with proven experience building scalable backend systems.
• Familiarity with Java is a nice-to-have, allowing for flexibility in working across different parts of the technology stack.
• Deep understanding of equity derivatives products (Options, Range Accruals, Equity Swaps, Accumulators) and their life cycle, with an ability to translate this knowledge into high-quality software solutions.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, network protocols, and system integration strategies.
• Proficiency in performance tuning and optimization of complex financial systems to meet strict latency and throughput requirements.
• Good command of English (both written and spoken), Polish is nice to have
• Bachelor/Master Degree in Computer Science or related topic
