What you'll be doing
We’re looking for a curious SEO all-rounder to lead our efforts in Generative Engine Optimisation, driving visibility across AI-powered search experiences. As part of our Audience team, you’ll sit at the intersection of SEO, artificial intelligence and digital content strategy, working hands-on to ensure our multitude of brands are discoverable in AI-driven environments like Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity AI and beyond.
Reporting to the SEO Director and sitting within a small but experienced squad where you’ll have access to data science, data engineering and editorial support, you’ll combine deep SEO expertise (technical and content-based) with latest AI strategies to improve content visibility, automate workflows and deliver tools that enhance editorial and search performance.
This is a hands-on, exciting role to develop tools and shape best practices, while working with editorial, engineering, data science, commercial, engineering and product teams. Experience that will put you ahead of the curve
- Minimum two years experience in a SEO-focused role
- A deep understanding of technical SEO, on-page SEO and off-page SEO.
- An interest in AI and automation in general, and within the search landscape
- Proficient with popular SEO tools including GA4, Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, SEMRush and Screaming Frog
- Experience analysing large datasets (e.g. server logs) to uncover insights and opportunities
- Knowledge of Python, SQL and BigQuery is desirable but not essential
