The Role
 
The Services Engagement Manager (SEM) is responsible for setting our customers up for project success and representing the entire value proposition behind a Veeva R&D Product Implementation. This is a critical role during the project scoping and planning phase to establish the right strategy for implementation and ensure customer success. The SEM is an integral part of the sales cycle, acting as a solution expert, working in close alignment with the Veeva Sales and Services Teams.
 
With expertise and passion for Software Implementation, Project Management and Life Sciences Software Sales, our ideal candidate will structure the right solution, set the right expectations, and identify the appropriate project timeframes and associated costs. You'll be working with existing customers as well as with our newest prospects and will be a key player in shaping these partnerships from day one.
 
Delivery of Proposals and Statements of Work (SOW) are a key deliverable from the SEM, along with potential implementation partner recommendation and strategic alignment of the team prior to project start.
 
There is no work location requirement (remote position) within the EU/UK if a candidate is able to meet travel requirements. Qualified EU/UK-based candidates are encouraged to apply.

What You'll Do

  • Align closely with sales teams to provide implementation proposals and establish confidence with prospects in our ability to deliver
  • Set client and internal stakeholder expectations correctly with a focus on long-term success
  • Provide awareness and alignment with partner ecosystem
  • Position integration development, migration, training and other services that may be needed for a successful customer experience
  • Work with services and service leadership to ensure successful project delivery aligned to proposed implementation plan
  • Travel estimate: Less than 25%

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience delivering consulting services, including involvement in selling services
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to engage audiences of varying perception levels, including Executive level prospects
  • Collaborative and consultative work style
  • Content management experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Ability to travel

Nice to Have

  • Direct experience with Life Sciences Content Management Solution, preferably within the clinical, quality, or regulatory space
  • Experience with Cloud-based solution deployment
  • Background includes exposure to compliance and validation standards in the Life Sciences industry
