We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Social Media Lead to lead Montu UK and Alternaleaf UK’s presence across social channels and set the standard for how patients and the public engage with healthcare online. This is more than content scheduling — you will own the strategy, lead on key relationships with influencers and stakeholders, oversee execution, and guide how Alternaleaf and Montu show up in conversations that matter. You’ll act as the driving force behind our social media vision, working with key talent and patients to expand our reach and strengthen our reputation as a trusted digital health leader.

This is a hybrid role that is remote first, but as it is hands-on and future-focused, we require someone who is able to be present when needed.

Role Description
  • Own the end-to-end social media strategy and execution across multiple platforms, ensuring content delivers against brand and campaign objectives.

  • Lead the development of compelling digital storytelling, balancing creative innovation with regulatory requirements.

  • Build and manage relationships with influencers, collaborators, key opinion leaders and stakeholders to extend Montu and Alternaleaf’s impact across social and podcast content.

  • Oversee community engagement, collaborating in leading on responses that build trust and loyalty while identifying opportunities to deepen conversations.

  • Monitor, analyse, and report on performance, using insights to shape future strategy and influence decision-making at a senior level.

  • Keep Montu and Alternaleaf ahead of the curve by anticipating platform algorithm shifts, content trends, and audience behaviours.

  • Communicate with the patient support team to ensure seamless handling of enquiries and feedback via social channels.

  • Lead on reputation management across online reviews, ensuring responses reflect Montu and Alternaleaf’s values and standards.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
  • At least 5 years proven experience owning and growing brand social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube).

  • Track record of shaping and protecting a distinctive brand voice across multiple audiences and touchpoints.

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable strategy and work with the Performance Marketing Team on their findings.

  • Understanding of social media copywriting and ability to lead on best practices.

  • Comfortable overseeing high volumes of public and private interactions with professionalism and empathy.

  • Highly organised and proactive, with experience managing multiple projects in fast-paced environments.

  • Advanced knowledge of social media algorithms and experience navigating restricted or regulated content.

  • Influential communicator who can align stakeholders and champion social media within a broader business context.

  • Experience in healthcare or other regulated industries is advantageous but not essential.
