Mō te tūranga | About the Role
These roles sit in Digital Engineering, and you will report into one of the People Leaders in that space. We’re looking for people who demonstrate initiative, have strong problem-solving skills and an ability to work autonomously. We aim to ensure the work is challenging and rewarding.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to team members on code quality and make sure software engineering best practices are met.
• Actively engage in requirement analysis discussions and come up with technical solutions.
• Design and develop new product features with minimum defects.
• Deliver project sprint commitments on time.
• Participate in Agile software development practices.
• Create, review, and maintain documentation.
• Conduct POCs to research and identify the optimal solution.
• Utilises experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Promptly respond to production incidents by troubleshooting and providing solutions to them.
Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?
• At least 5 plus years substantial web development experience in JavaScript and React. Commercial experience preferred, own experience welcome (with proof of capability).
• Knowledge across service layer. Affinity with UX/UI and an eye for detail is beneficial.
• Products used include but not limited to JavaScript, React, Redux, Redux-Saga, SASS, HTML5, Jest, React-Testing-Library, Webpack, Docker, Jenkins, Git & Bitbucket, Selenium, Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines is beneficial.
• Experience with functional programming
