Product Backlog items into a potentially shippable increment within the Sprint.• Team members may be developers, testers, analysts, architects, writers, designers and even users. The team is cross-functional, which means that between all its members they possess
sufficient skills to do the work. There is no dictated leadership hierarchy within the team members.
Role & Responsibilities
Software Engineer I is the one who develops software as per business requirements and demonstrates excellent technology skills.• Develops information systems by designing, developing, and installing software solutions.• Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.• Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.• Investigates problem areas.• Follows the software development lifecycle.• Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.• Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.• Improves operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.• Protects operations by keeping information confidential.• Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.• Accomplishes engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed.• Advanced knowledge and understanding of Software Engineering Concepts and Methodologies is required.• Demonstrate MC Core Competencies.• Strong communication skills -- both verbal and written - and strong relationship, collaboration skills and organizational skills.• Ability to quickly learn and implement new technologies, frameworks and tools and support multiple concurrent activities and to interface with external / internal resources, working as a member
of a matrix based diverse and geographically distributed project team.
