Why this role?
As a R&D Engineer Intern at Snyk, you'll use your development skills, passion, and problem-solving abilities to help drive our mission to embed security into every part of the AI-native development lifecycle.
What You’ll Do:
Work closely with a dedicated mentor and collaborate with our engineering team to meaningfully contribute to the Snyk Container security product.
Use our AI-powered tools to own a full-stack project across the development lifecycle—building, prototyping, testing, and deploying a new feature.
Contribute directly to a product that is used by both developer communities and large enterprise organizations around the world.
Network across Snyk, joining "Impact" events, build professional soft skills, and engage with a global cohort of early-career talent.
What You Bring:
An eagerness to learn new technologies and a high degree of adaptability to change.
An AI-native orientation towards software engineering.
Familiarity with programming languages such as TypeScript or Go.
Foundational understanding of relational database design (e.g. PostgreSQL).
A strong sense of accountability and ownership: you are proactive, drive projects to completion, and are eager to seek feedback.
A passion for problem-solving and a desire to understand the "why" behind the code.
It’d Be Awesome If You Also…
Have experience with building, running, and managing containers (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and related Cloud Native technologies.
Have an active interest in cybersecurity, DevSecOps, and AI security.
Have a sense of humour — we take our mission seriously, but not ourselves!
