As a Software Engineer Lead within PNC’s Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA; Cleveland, OH; Birmingham, AL or Dallas, TX. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager’s discretion.

The Regulatory Risk and Compliance Reporting team in Business Technology and Innovation Group at PNC is dedicated to developing innovative technology solutions to support the Regulatory submissions of the Bank. Will be required to work on data intensive Applications that support business and regulatory reporting requirements. The role requires proficiency in designing and programming data intensive Applications on Oracle database.
Technical
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on development experience using any reporting tools which reads from very large data sets. Familiarity with OAS or Tableau is a plus.
• Expertise in database design and programming skills using SQL/PLSQL
• Intermediate level skills in data analysis and data modeling
• Knowledge and experience of data modeling and data warehouse concepts.
• Working knowledge of software design patterns and architecture
• Leads complex problem solving and provides technical guidance and support to colleagues and solution development.
• Proposes, designs & codes software solutions to address complex business needs.
• Oversees technical and procedural documentation as required.
General
• knowledge of Banking, Financial and US regulatory environment
• Aligns business strategy with software solutions.
• Must possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Looking for a highly motivated individual that likes to be challenged.
• Candidate must actively and independently strive to broaden technology and business knowledge.
• Displays an innovative approach to apply modern software development principles, methodologies and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities.
• Experience working in projects using waterfall or agile

Job Description

  • Creates and leads the technical design and development of software solutions.
  • Proposes & designs software solutions to address complex business needs. Prepares technical and procedural documentation required.
  • Facilitates complex problem resolution.
  • Provides technical guidance and support to colleagues. Reviews coding, testing, and documentation of software.
  • Applies modern principles, methodologies and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities.
