It centralizes control, allowing you to automate patching, manage content lifecycles, and monitor all your diverse Linux systems from a single console to keep them secure and compliant.

Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for the quality assurance of SUSE Multi-Linux Manager. We expect you to:

  • Enhance and expand our test automation framework to increase test coverage, efficiency and stability.

  • Be comfortable with manual testing, exploratory tests and testing maintenance updates.

  • Be willing to gain deep knowledge about our product and its features.

  • Accurately report, track, and verify bugs using Bugzilla and/or GitHub.

  • Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and debugging abilities.

  • Actively participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

  • Work together closely with the development, release engineering and documentation teams.

  • Proactively communicate with team members to resolve issues and ensure smooth workflows.

  • Be passionate, creative and proficient about software testing.

  • Be a great person to work with: promote teamwork and value mentoring (giving and receiving).

  • Contribute to a safe, diverse and inclusive culture.

Required Skills

  • Typically 2+ years of professional experience in software quality engineering or a related field.

  • Experience with Ruby, Python or similar languages and Bash scripting.

  • Good understanding of Linux system administration and command-line tools.

  • Experience with analyzing system logs, debugging services and the command line in general.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD methodologies.

  • Basic understanding of infrastructure-as-code principles and experience with tools like Terraform or Jenkins.

  • Willing to work with public cloud providers like AWS, Azure or GCP.

  • Excellent communication skills and fluent in verbal and written English.

Bonus Skills

The following skills are not required, but will give you an advantage:

  • Experience with automated end-to-end (E2E) testing.

  • Familiarity with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) methodologies.

  • Familiar with Cucumber, RSpec, Capybara, Selenium or similar testing tools and frameworks.

  • Basic understanding of networking concepts.

  • Active contributions to open-source communities. Please let us know of any contributions you would like to share with us.

Our Offer

  • Permanent and full-time position with flexible hours and a commitment to work/life balance.

  • Significant opportunities for professional growth and development in a dynamic open-source environment.

  • Join and work with a highly motivated, collaborative and international team.

  • Regular hackathons (Hackweeks) and workshops on the company, department, and team levels.

  • Paid vacation along with a comprehensive range of country-specific benefits.
