Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to provide architecture advisory services for a banking client. The role focuses on the review and validation of an existing solution architecture, with particular emphasis on system integration, message queues (MQ), performance, scalability, and resilience.

The engagement will be delivered in a hybrid model (on-site and remote).

Fluency in Polish is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and assess the end-to-end solution architecture, including system components, dependencies, and data flows.
  • Verify compliance with architectural standards, best practices, and non-functional requirements.
  • Evaluate the technology stack, scalability, fault tolerance, and resilience of the solution.
  • Analyze integration between source systems and the Replica, including data propagation across architectural layers.
  • Assess the use of message queues (MQ):
    • asynchronous communication patterns,
    • queue configuration,
    • message handling and error management,
    • retry mechanisms and Dead Letter Queues (DLQ),
    • delivery guarantees (e.g. at-least-once, exactly-once),
    • queue throughput and impact on replication latency.
  • Conduct or support performance and load testing aligned with real production data volumes.
  • Analyze end-to-end processing times, system stability under load, and identify architectural bottlenecks.
  • Monitor and assess CPU utilization (MSU) during peak data transfer periods.
  • Identify optimization opportunities to reduce resource consumption, improve performance, and control costs.
  • Prepare architecture review reports, findings, and recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Integration Architect, or similar role.
  • Strong background in enterprise integration architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with message queue technologies (e.g. IBM MQ, JMS, Kafka or similar).
  • Solid understanding of asynchronous communication, messaging patterns, and error handling.
  • Experience with performance testing, scalability analysis, and non-functional requirements.
  • Knowledge of high-availability and fault-tolerant architectures.
  • Experience in banking or regulated environments is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively in hybrid delivery models (on-site and remote).

Language & Location Requirements

  • Fluent Polish (spoken and written) – mandatory
  • Good command of English for documentation and collaboration.
  • Availability to work on-site, with partial remote work.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with mainframe environments and MSU-based cost models.
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks.
