About the role: 

  • Research and evaluate new tools and technologies and adopt them as appropriate to ensure we stay relevant in our choice of tools and technology
  • Provide guidance on the correct usage of tools and technologies (including our own frameworks, libraries and templates) to ensure our engineers are effective and efficient
  • Help define and improve the functional and professional competency requirements for software engineers to help our team with their continuing professional development
  • Work with the programme delivery team to review and improve technical aspects of design and delivery
