The Team’s Focus
Transunion works with businesses and consumers to gather, analyze, and deliver critical information needed to build strong economies around the world. We help >45,000 businesses manage risk, and 500 million consumers understand and manage credit.
This seasoned-level position is focused on supporting the TransUnion customer base by providing consultation to data providers and internal stakeholders ensuring timely and accurate processing of data, and executing specific functions associated with data on the TransUnion database and the management thereof. You will manage and analyze data files in various layouts with the view to identifying and addressing deficiencies in data quality, proposing changes to data processing routines in order to optimize the functions within the department and enhancing and maintaining the department’s integrity by participating in projects which are either internally initiated or driven by a legislative need. You will have a financial understanding of creditors and debtors’ books in the data sharing industry

What You'll Bring:

  • This position researches and investigates complex data queries and in turn provides timeous accurate solutions back to the relevant stakeholder
  • May be required to write specifications and communicate resolution of reported data or process issues to the various stakeholders either as part of a project or on an ad hoc basis
  • Contribute to review and enhancing of processes to achieve optimal acquisition functionality. Responds to incoming requests from customers, sales associates, and internal departments and provide timely feedback or input as may be required
  • Use various tools to conduct in-depth data analysis to address any date related queries or defects that may arise either due to internal systems or other extraneous factors
  • Identify, monitor, manage and advise clients on solutions for any deficiencies in their data, were possible to optimize the quality of the submitted data, and ensure effective uploads by the bureaus
  • Engage, participate, partner and support various projects on an ongoing basis according to project deliverables.
  • Perform user acceptance testing on projects as part of the departments acceptance of project outcomes

  • As a Data Analyst, your key responsibilities span the following areas:
  • Technical Skills: Applies complex systems and processes to effectively support customer(s). These systems include Ab Initio, SQL, tableau/Power Bi. Answers complex questions regarding data reporting and in addition to general credit reporting questions. Has a solid process knowledge and understanding data management and processing systems.
  • Inter- and Intra-Departmental Comprehension: Understands internal departments and how they impact TransUnion’s database. Departments include: Sales, Marketing Services, Operations,
  • Financial Services, Legal/Compliance and Analytical Services. Follows established procedures for communicating changes that impact other departments.
  • Interpersonal: Conveys ideas to others and gathers information through speaking and writing. Understands and appreciates differences in coworkers and customers and is able to respond to their individual needs’ relative to the job the associate performs. Communicates all appropriate information in a timely manner. Listens attentively and participates actively with peers and customers in order to develop meaningful products. Provides accurate information to management and associates regarding associate’s job and DAS responsibilities. Presents work, projects and ideas to peers and customers in a clear and logical manner.

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelors Degree certificate or diploma with a minimum of 2years experience.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, SQL, Python/R, Tableau/power BI.
  • Ability to interact at different levels.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Analytical skills to understand and work with complex data sets

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
