We are a boutique disputes and insolvency law firm based in Central London. Our work covers a broad range of commercial litigation and arbitration as well as contentious insolvency. We opened in May 2020 with 2 partners and 1 associate. Notwithstanding the timing of our opening and the challenges faced, we have progressed rapidly since opening and now have a busy practice with 2 partners, 6 associates and 5 support staff. We have ambitious plans for further growth.

We are seeking a talented and ambitious associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be both personable and ambitious, with excellent technical legal skills, IT skills and communication skills. They will want to develop broad disputes experience as well as developing areas of specialist expertise over time. They will likely have a strong academic background, including a law degree (minimum 2:1) or GDL (minimum Commendation) from a recognised university, or equivalent foreign qualification*. They will have trained and/or currently be working in, a law firm recognised in the Legal Directories for having a strong commercial disputes, financial disputes and /or contentious insolvency disputes practice.

It is important that the candidate is a self-starter who is resilient and able to progress cases confidently and safely, under an appropriate level of partner supervision. They will also need to have a genuine interest in and aptitude for business development, including being willing to undertake such activities from time to time in person and outside of normal office hours. The candidate would be expected to work full time and at least 2-4 days per week in our offices in central London (subject to Government regulations not prohibiting the same).

* We will consider exceptional candidates who do not meet fully these criteria - but the covering letter should explain what makes you stand out such that the criteria should not be applied.

What you need to know about the Edinburgh Tech Scene

From traditional pubs and centuries-old universities to sleek shopping malls and glass-paneled office buildings, Edinburgh's architecture reflects its unique blend of history and modernity. But the fusion of past and future isn't just visible in its buildings; it's also shaping the city's economy. Named the United Kingdom's leading technology ecosystem outside of London, Edinburgh plays host to major global companies like Apple and Adobe, as well as a growing number of innovative startups in fields like cybersecurity, finance and healthcare.
