Summary
The Data Team play a central role at Pismo, providing Data-Intensive Analytics for internal product teams, also processing and delivering TBs of high-quality data, mainly in Stream form, needed by our Partners to produce outstanding products downstream.
Operating mainly in Brazil, the data team recently extended its scope to accelerate the Platformization of data services globally, with representatives in Europe and soon to the US and Asia. We are looking for talented engineers who share our culture of trust, mutual responsibility, and technological excellence to be part of this unprecedented and diverse global Data Organization.
What you'll do
- Be accountable for the operation and monitoring of the production of file and event systems.
- Ensure that the systems meet the established SLAs.
- Participate in the design and implementation of high complexity features.
- Work to reduce system technical debts.
- Develop and implement solutions to evolve data platform architecture.
- Collaborate with other internal and external teams and customers to ensure efficient delivery and needs files and events.
- Acting in internal projects to optimize the efficiency, performance and cost of the data platform.
- Acting in the demands of system operation (RUN/Oncall), respecting customer SLAs and proposing improvements to improve the service level.
Minimum Qualifications
- +4 years experience as a Data Engineer
- +2 years of experience with cloud (preferable AWS)
- Solid experience with Big Data, especially with Parallel Processing (Spark)
- Extensive experience with Python
- Experience with Airflow and CDC
- Authorization to work in the UK.
