The Sr. Data and Information Architect will be responsible for managing and maintaining the Dataiku DSS platform, ensuring smooth operations, security, and performance.Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

The Sr. Data and Information Architect will be part of the Horizontal Family in the STE organization. In this role you will drive the architecture for both the Self-Service Data program and Analytic Invention program, looking to empower business users to create their own data and analytics projects and to create a comprehensive and performant ecosystem to drive the invention of new analytics. You will be responsible to manage, optimize, and scale our Dataiku DSS along with seamless machine learning model deployment. The role requires expertise in Dataiku administration, Infrastructure mgmt., automation, and operationalizing of AI/ML models as needed.  

Responsibilities include, but not limited to Platform administration:

  • Installing, configuring, upgrading, and troubleshooting the DSS environment.
  • Manage user access, permissions, and security settings.
  • Performance monitoring & optimization - Monitoring system performance, logs, and resources including EKS memory usages.
  • Automation & integration: Developing custom Python plugins, managing workflows. and integrating databases, cloud storages(S3), APIs, and external ML frameworks.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure the platform adheres to security and compliance policies as required by Cyber.
  • Collaborating with Data scientists, engineers, and product teams to integrate ML solutions. Provide technical support and training to data scientists, analysts, and business users.
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated ML model deployments using Dataiku.
  • Implement best practices for containerizations and MLOps practices.

Technical Skills

  • Depth of experience with Dataiku
  • Proficiency in Linux environments.
  • Depth of knowledge in data lake concepts
  • Strong SQL skillset
  • Strong Python skillset
  • Hands-on experience with AWS
  • Depth of knowledge in AWS EKS
  • Depth of knowledge of Spark and distributed processing execution
  • Depth of knowledge in AWS and S3
  • Experience automating manual processes
  • Deep experience with information/data architecture
  • Deep experience with data engineering
  • Knowledge about data science concepts
  • Experience with data visualization/Webapps
  • Experience with IT process automation.
  • Proven ability to teach technical concepts to those without a technical background
  • Approachable and able/willing to answer questions from users with a wide variety of backgrounds

Qualifications/Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 4 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 7 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 9 years of professional experience
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Dataiku administration.
  • Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience

  • Experience and understanding of Spotfire
  • Experience with managing data applications
  • Experience with using data science/statistics
  • Experience with machine learning concepts
  • Knowledge of the Scikit-learn, MLlib, and H2O libraries
  • Knowledge of R
  • Knowledge of PySpark
  • Knowledge of SparkR
  • Knowledge of infrastructure architecture
  • Demonstrated experience in the role's technical competencies
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others from many different backgrounds and skill levels
  • An interest to grow as a data professional and learn the desired characteristics if not already present
