About the role
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the development of impactful features within our academic software suite, specifically focusing on Pure and Interfolio platforms. In this role, you will own key product areas—such as academic profile creation and editing—and drive the strategy and execution of features that enhance the user experience for faculty, researchers, and administrators. You will leverage both qualitative insights and quantitative data to shape a commercially successful product roadmap, working cross-functionally with engineering, design, and customer success teams. Your deep understanding of academic workflows and experience designing intuitive, flexible profile management tools will be critical. As a senior team member, you will also mentor junior PMs and contribute to hiring efforts, while serving as a trusted voice in evaluating new feature ideas and ensuring alignment with customer needs.
Responsibilities:
Customer Focus
Understands customer use cases and market trends, maintains close customer contact, and creates processes to identify and meet customer needs. Segments markets effectively and stays informed on competitors and regulations.
Data-Driven Decision-Making
Uses metrics and KPIs to guide product decisions, accesses and interprets data from multiple sources, and applies analytical thinking even in data-scarce environments. Designs hypothesis-driven evaluations, including A/B testing.
Go-to-Market & Product Marketing
Develops and executes launch plans in coordination with marketing and sales, creates promotional materials, supports pricing strategy, and manages product sunsetting and customer migration. Contributes to strategic planning and business development.
Product Development & Delivery
Leads the full product lifecycle from planning to release, writes clear requirements, and solves complex design challenges. Operates independently within agile SDLC frameworks and ensures a cohesive product experience.
Strategy & Commercial Acumen
Aligns product vision with business strategy, builds roadmaps, prepares budgets and business cases, and uses competitive insights and data to drive growth and ROI.
