As we lean into our mission to “simplify the business of running a business,” WEX is looking to simplify and reimagine experiences, starting from the customer perspective. We are seeking a Product Marketing Manager to lead the strategic positioning, go-to-market planning, and execution for WEX’s open loop card in the Mobility line of business, with a focus on rapid experimentation and learning, accelerated growth, adoption, and customer engagement.

About the Team:

As part of a high-performing and collaborative team, you are a visionary leader who thrives on crafting compelling narratives and delivering impactful go-to-market strategies. You are passionate about understanding customer needs and market dynamics and translating them into measurable outcomes. This role will be located in one of WEX’s US Hub locations. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Positioning: Craft compelling product messaging rooted in customer insights to boost acquisition, retention, and satisfaction.

  • Go-to-Market Excellence: Create agile go-to-market strategies based on customer feedback and market testing, ensuring cross-team alignment for faster launches and stronger early adoption.

  • Customer and Market Insights: Leverage qualitative and quantitative research to understand customer needs, guiding product development, messaging, and feature prioritization to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Enablement for Success: Equip Sales and Customer Success teams with tools and assets that clearly demonstrate product value, driving customer engagement and revenue growth.

  • Demand Generation: Collaborate with Revenue Marketing on campaigns that educate, activate, and convert customers, fueling pipeline growth and accelerating value realization.

  • Product Advocacy: Work closely with product teams to align on roadmaps, representing the customer's voice internally and the product externally to drive adoption and engagement.

  • Seamless Collaboration: Facilitate strong connections across Product, Design, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to enhance customer experiences and team efficiency.

  • Performance Tracking: Define and measure success using metrics like adoption, engagement, and satisfaction to continuously improve marketing strategies and drive business growth.

Qualifications

  • Experience that Makes an Impact: 5–7+ years in product marketing, ideally within B2B or tech-driven industries, with 3–5 years focused on open-loop cards, payment solutions, or platforms.

  • Customer-Centric Mindset: A natural curiosity and drive to learn from customers at every stage of their journey, combined with the urgency to act on insights.

  • Strategic and Analytical Thinking: Proven ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies that drive measurable business success.

  • Proven Go-to-Market Expertise: A track record of launching successful initiatives that deliver results, showcasing skills in competitive positioning and customer-focused messaging.

  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Skilled in creating and delivering compelling narratives tailored to diverse audiences, from executives to cross-functional teams.

  • Collaborative Leadership: Demonstrated success in working cross-functionally, influencing stakeholders, and fostering alignment across all levels of an organization.

  • Execution Excellence: A proactive self-starter with strong project management abilities and a meticulous approach to detail.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is required; an MBA is a strong plus.

Preferred Skills

  • Expertise in payments, SaaS, or technology sectors.

  • Familiarity with analytics tools to monitor and optimize marketing performance.

  • A balanced approach to strategic thinking and hands-on execution, thriving in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
