We are looking for a Finance Assistant, Sr. Associate to support day-to-day financial operations, including AP/AR, reconciliations, reporting, and audit compliance. Based in Nottingham on a hybrid schedule, this role will assist with month-end close, budgeting, and financial planning, while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution of core finance processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and reconcile invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports.
  • Ensure timely and accurate entries in accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks).
  • Assist with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) tracking and reporting.
  • Monitor vendor payments and resolve discrepancies or issues.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Prepare financial statements, budget summaries, and variance reports.
  • Assist in cash flow forecasting and financial planning tasks.
  • Compile and maintain documentation for audits and internal reviews.
  • Coordinate departmental budget submissions and consolidate company-wide budgets.
  • Track actuals against forecasts and flag variances for investigation.
  • Support financial modeling and scenario planning as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Assist with documentation for SOX, tax filings, and other audits.
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure financial alignment.
  • Provide ad hoc support on finance-related projects and initiatives.
  • Must be able to work onsite in Nottingham on a hybrid basis.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (required).
  • CPA or equivalent certification (preferred but not required).
  • 3–5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or bookkeeping roles.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced corporate or SaaS environment is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas).
  • Experience with accounting/ERP software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
