About the Role:

At TravelPerk, we believe in empowering cross-functional teams that drive exceptional results for our customers and the company. We are currently looking for a Staff Product Designer for our Spend product, to join our team for a one-year contract.

Managing expenses should be effortless, not a burden. Our Spend product —which includes Expense management, Cards, and Invoices— is at the heart of the employee experience, empowering them to focus on their work while giving companies complete visibility and control over their company spend.

As a Staff Product Designer for Spend, you’ll partner with Product and an Engineering to define a 7-star experience for our customers—empowering employees with a frictionless way to pay and manage their expenses, while giving admins full control and visibility over company spend. You will lead strategic initiatives that impact on the customer experience and you are expected to influence design across different teams as needed, inspiring and coaching designers along the way through craft leadership.

What you’ll do:

  • Design for Impact: Define end-to-end user experiences across web and mobile, and craft designs that not only delight users but also deliver measurable, strategic impact for the business.
  • Bring Insights to Life: Turn data, customer feedback, and market research into products tailored to the US market. Collaborate with research and own new ways to get customers feedback for every solution that we ship.
  • Shape the Vision: Partner with Product, engineering and design leadership to define clear problem statements, and shaping the strategy for your product area that balances user needs with business goals.
  • Collaborate Across Functions: Ensuring a good collaboration with engineers, product, research, and content design to get the best outcomes together. As well as connect with other stakeholders (like Sales, Implementation, or Account Managers) to make sure overall company alignment.
  • Champion our users’ needs: Be the voice of our customers in internal forums, and advocate for best-in-class usability, scalability, and accessibility for our solutions to ensure every interaction feels intuitive and impactful.
  • Elevate the Craft: Oversee the overall experience for your product area and for the Design team overall; making sure the quality meets our standards: reviewing work, mentoring peers and running processes for that purpose.

What you’ll need:

  • 8-10+ years of product design experience at a fast-growing tech company. Experience with Expense Management, FinTech, or SaaS products is a strong plus.
  • Passionate energy for great design and amplifying our team culture
  • Experience working in fast-paced product companies with an international footprint
  • Experience in presenting ideas to various levels in the org—team, colleagues, management, and executives. Excellent communication skills that excite stakeholders and articulate a vision.
  • Ability to influence product roadmaps working alongside Product Managers and Engineers
  • Experience educating, partnering with, building with, and influencing product teams
  • Experience in inclusive design and accessibility

Why you'll love our team:

  • We are a team of 50 talented product designers, content designers and researchers. We like to think of ourselves as high-achievers, goal-oriented, eager to learn and grow. We foster efficiency through autonomy and creativity through collaboration.
  • Working in the Product Design team will ensure high-quality design, strategic impact in the product and next-level GIFs 😎
  • In the Product Design team, you will find a strong culture of ownership, impact-over-effort and lending support to each other, there are no egos and transparency is highly valued.
  • We are an heterogeneous team with multiple nationalities and backgrounds, pushing for getting better, having fun and always asking why (of course).

Our Vision is for a world where TravelPerk is the platform for human connection in real life (IRL). We take an IRL-first approach to work, where our team works together in person 3 days a week. We fundamentally believe in meeting in real life to improve connectivity, productivity, and creativity, ultimately making us a great workplace.

At TravelPerk, we prioritise experience and potential over academic qualifications for this role. Talent and ability aren't always reflected in formal credentials.

TravelPerk is a global company with a diverse customer base, and we want to ensure that the people behind our product reflect that. We're an equal opportunity employer, meaning you're welcome at TravelPerk regardless of your appearance, where you're from, or anything else that makes you.

Protect Yourself from Recruitment Scams

All official communication from TravelPerk will always come from email addresses ending in @travelperk.com or @externaltravelperk.com, our verified social media channels, or recruiters listed on our official LinkedIn page. We will never ask you to pay for equipment, training, or fees, request sensitive personal information such as bank details early in the process, or communicate through unofficial apps like WhatsApp, Telegram, or Signal. If you receive a message claiming to be from TravelPerk that seems suspicious, please do not respond. Forward it to [email protected] and we’ll confirm whether it’s legitimate.
