Staff / Senior DevOps Engineer

We're looking for a Staff / Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Release Engineering tribe.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced DevOps professional to make a significant impact in our organization. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining continuous delivery and integration systems that are used by hundreds of engineers deploying hundreds of services week after week. You will be instrumental in helping us define the next generation of our delivery platforms, ensuring product teams can do their best work, enabling them to focus on bringing end customer value and achieving operational excellence without tooling friction.

You will be collaborating across the Central Platform area (the team tasked with creating foundational systems the business can scale on) as we build unified engineering products, tools, and services that will connect core infrastructure, observability, and application frameworks.

• Design and maintain CI/CD systems. Create and optimize continuous integration and delivery systems that enable hundreds of engineers to efficiently deploy their services with confidence.
• Drive platform evolution. Contribute to defining our next generation of delivery platforms, focusing on scalability, reliability, and ease of use for product teams.
• Implement infrastructure as code. Develop and maintain infrastructure definitions using modern IaC tools, ensuring consistency and reproducibility across environments.
• Enable developer productivity. Create tools and workflows that reduce friction for product teams, allowing them to focus on delivering customer value rather than wrestling with deployment processes.
• Collaborate on unified platform initiatives. Work across teams to build integrated solutions that connect core infrastructure, observability, and application frameworks into a cohesive engineering platform.

• At least 5 years of DevOps experience focused on building and supporting CI/CD systems.
• Proven experience with Kubernetes and containerized workloads, including application provisioning and orchestration.
• Strong infrastructure as code skills using Terraform to manage resources in AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud environments.
• Programming proficiency in Go, Python, and Bash for automation and tooling development. Familiarity with Bazel is a plus.
• Solid understanding of system architecture concepts like eventual consistency, distributed systems, and microservices architecture.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills. You can effectively work with diverse engineering teams and explain complex technical concepts to various stakeholders.
