Job Family Definition:

The Category management function defines and manages the product offering, positioning, and pricing across the product life cycle of a given portfolio, guiding the direct/indirect sales teams on such product-related dimensions. They are responsible for planning the business objective for a specific portfolio and achieving this plan through ongoing adjustments of the product-related decisions. Acts as the lead expert in competition product knowledge in all dimensions (product knowledge, pricing, marketing, customer requirements). Communicates, briefs, and supports direct and indirect sales force on product strategies. Defines advertising, and demand generation priorities at strategic and tactical levels in partnership with the Marketing function.

Management Level Definition:

Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients and partners. Exercises significant independent judgment to determine the best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • With a deep understanding of the Data Services & Storage market, you will define and execute the strategy and business plan in order to achieve the business targets;
  • You will be responsible for accurately forecasting to country and GEO leadership
  • You will define and own the business development plan, defining priorities and executing demand generation programs and activities at strategic and tactical levels in partnership with the sales, marketing and channel teams;  
  • Act as a thought leader with the internal sales force and other partners at the senior level. You will mentor and guide other employees on a dotted-line organizational level (matrix) ensuring everyone is aligned to the strategic priorities.
  • As an expert in competition product knowledge in all dimensions (product, pricing, marketing, customer requirements), you will communicate, brief, and support the direct and our partner ecosystem on positioning the HPE data storage solutions and products.
  • Recognized by your peers as subject matter expert, you will contribute to the development of innovative sales solutions and lead large, cross-division functional teams or projects that will affect HPE’s long-term goals and objectives.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor degree
  • Experience: 10 years in the market,
  • Knowledge of the Greek market and partner ecosystem
  • Strong communication, negotiation and  collaboration skills
  • Ability to influence sales teams, channel partners, and customers, Passionate, outgoing, energetic, risk-taker, innovative, and structured
  • High executive-level (written and verbal) communication skills in English and Greek

Knowledge and Skills:

  • IT industry knowledge.
  • Business planning skills, multidimensional.
  • Comfortable with managing high-complexity business planning and reporting.
  • Strong communication skills with senior management internally and externally.
  • Knowledge of promotional marketing processes and practices.
  • Negotiation skills and ability to frame the product value proposition to customers/partners.
  • Leadership skills and cross-functional expertise (sales, supply chain, marketing).
