The Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Strategy Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and organizing the advice policy, products, and process strategy of the business. This role requires close collaboration with the change function, the proposition function, and the wider business to ensure the successful implementation of strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, develop and manage the overall strategy for advice policy, products, and processes, producing content and records to document and share progress toward our strategic objectives.
- Work closely with the change function to ensure the planning and resources required for delivery of strategic initiatives over time.
- Work closely with training functions to achieve buy in from users and employees. Design and iterate the key messages to support the training and motivate towards progress.
- Collaborate with the proposition function to align product strategies with business goals.
- Engage with various departments across the business to drive strategic projects and initiatives.
- Monitor and analyse market trends and competitor activities to inform the advice group and formulate future strategy.
- Provide strategic guidance and support to senior management and other stakeholders, including inputting into publications, feedback and regulatory outreach.
- Prepare and present strategic plans, reports, and updates to senior management to the highest possible standard, for onward communication to senior management fora.
Deliverables:
- Establish and maintain a Strategy & Transformation playbook of position and explanatory materials that iterates as our knowledge and projects evolve.
- Ownership of a mechanism to monitor and demonstrate progress towards the agreed business goals.
- Lead input and creation for Board and EXCO written materials.
- Contribute healthy challenge and thought leadership to drive innovation across our business.
- Communicate to the advisers and the advice teams our plan, our rationale and how we will win. Be an advocate for our strategic leadership.
Key requirements, skills & experience
- Proven experience in a strategic role within the financial advice industry.
- Strong understanding of financial products, advice policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
