At our Bern site, where we proudly produce the world-famous Toblerone, you will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment while contributing to the future of snacking. Throughout the internship, you will receive structured onboarding, tailored training, and ongoing support designed to accelerate your technical and professional development. As an Asset Reliability Intern, you will:
  • Support the analysis and improvement of equipment criticality, performance, and reliability across production assets.

  • Participate in the preparation of preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure optimal operational performance.

  • Collect, analyze, and process technical data related to equipment failures, downtime, and asset conditions.

  • Assist in preparing, updating, and reviewing maintenance plans, spare parts lists and work instructions.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement and internship projects focused on increasing reliability, optimizing processes, and reducing operational costs.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards.

  • Close collaboration with multiple departments, including Safety, Production, Quality, Planning, and other cross-functional teams.

  • Exposure to real business challenges, improvement projects, and a collaborative international environment.

You would be a great fit if you have:
  • Final-year student status or recent graduation in a technical field such as Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Strong interest in maintenance, asset reliability, manufacturing, and production processes.

  • Good working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

  • Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

  • Fluency in English. While German would be a nice benefit to have.

  • A proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
