Team Manager – Platform Operations

Are you an experienced people manager with a background in financial services? Do you thrive on managing people, driving process improvements, and ensuring excellent client service?

We’re looking for a Team Manager to lead one of FNZ’s Operations teams, managing day-to-day service delivery across corporate and retail clients while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence.

What you’ll be doing:

In this role, you’ll provide leadership and hands-on management to your team, overseeing daily operations, risk management, and client service delivery. You’ll also play a key role in shaping change initiatives, ensuring that transformation and process improvements are delivered effectively.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, inspiring, and developing your team to deliver consistent, high-quality service
  • Managing daily operations and ensuring compliance with regulatory and client requirements
  • Driving performance through MI, KPIs, and SLA monitoring
  • Overseeing operational controls, error management, and risk reporting within your team
  • Supporting and implementing change programmes, including operational transformation initiatives
  • Acting as a key contact for clients, custodians, regulators, and third parties on service standards, risk, and change
  • Managing governance reporting, audits, and client meetings as required
  • Embedding a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Coaching, training, and developing your team to achieve clear career progression paths

What we’re looking for:

You’ll be a confident leader with strong operational knowledge and experience within the financial services industry. You’ll combine technical expertise with excellent people management skills, ensuring your team is motivated, compliant, and consistently delivering for FNZ’s clients.

Key skills and attributes:

  • Significant experience in financial services (wealth management / platform operations desirable, but not essential)
  • Proven track record in people management and people leadership
  • Strong knowledge of client service and asset servicing delivery
  • Deep understanding of operational risk, compliance, and governance frameworks
  • Experience in managing change and delivering process improvements
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Knowledge of FCA regulations, including CASS, COBS, COLL, and SYSC

This role is part of the FCA Overseers Regime, requiring the successful candidate to implement and maintain a robust regulatory regime in line with FCA guidelines, ensuring operational excellence and adherence to all relevant standards as set out by the FNZ Overseers criteria. You will be required to:

  • Supervise daily operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain high standards.
  • Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate staff to foster a high-performing team.

Qualifications required

  • Specific Exams Required: Candidates must have completed or be working towards the relevant professional qualifications
  • Achievement Timeline: Candidates must achieve the required certifications within an agreed period of employment.
