At NatWest, our Engineers are at the heart of innovation, collaborating across the bank to create cutting-edge solutions that make a difference for millions of customers. Whether it's enhancing mobile apps, leveraging AI for personalised experiences, or simplifying core systems, our engineers are shaping the future of banking. This experience will give you the chance to begin your journey and potentially progress to a summer internship.

What you’ll do

Join us for an enriching one-day experience at our Gogarburn campus in Edinburgh, designed to demystify the role of a software or data engineer at NatWest Group, provide support for taking the next steps, and offer hands-on experience with practical and technical skills.

During the day, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Hear from a senior leader delivering an engaging introduction to our business and culture
  • Attend ‘The Future of Banking’ presentation
  • Take part in a skills-building exercise focused on collaboration, problem-solving, and an introduction to agile methodologies
  • Join a panel discussion and a fireside chat with inspiring role models
  • Participate in a hands-on skills-building exercise focused on workplace readiness and personal branding
  • Learn the next steps in the application process

Entry requirements

To apply, you’ll need:

  • To be a woman living or studying in the UK
  • To be graduating in 2028 with a STEM degree
  • The right to work in the UK in 2027

What else you need to know

On the day, you must be able to attend in person at the required location.

We’ll support your travel expenses for the in-person event by reimbursing you up to the value of £100.

After completing the Insight Experience, you’ll be invited to continue your application journey for our 2027 Internship programme. The next stage of your journey will be an assessment centre.
