Job Description

As specialists in Avaloq's Web Banking platform, we are responsible for developing, improving, and maintaining technical modules for clients around the world. We use agile methods to manage all aspects of our Web Banking offering, making the most of the Avaloq Core Platform and adjusting our product to meet changing market needs. You will join a diverse international team based in several locations.

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled technical business analyst to handle requirements analysis, solution validation, and implementation tasks. Because our team also maintains the modules and components we currently manage, you will need to analyse reported client issues, check their validity, and work with the team to find possible solutions.

Teamwork is very important to us, both within our team and across the organisation. We are therefore looking for someone who can work independently but also enjoys working closely with others.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and address issues or requests from both clients and internal teams, and, when appropriate, manage client communications using our customer-facing ticketing tools
  • Write well-described tickets for the team to handle in our software development cycle
  • Collaborate with other teams within the domain when there are cross-functional topics
  • Understanding and document complex technical patterns together with our Documentation Team and Software Architects
  • Writing and contributing to Solution documents to clarify technical data flow between different systems

Qualifications

  • Experience in Business Analysis
  • Excellent technical writing skills
  • Experience in Software Engineering, scripting in any procedural programming language
  • Proficiency in SQL (any standard)
  • Self-motivated, proactive and structured working method with a passion for learning
  • Excellent written and communication skills when working with internal and external teams

It would be a real bonus if you have

  • University degree in Computer Science / Engineering / Mathematics / Economics or equivalent
  • Experience with Avaloq or other banking systems
  • Experience with microservices (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker)
