Job Description

What will you be doing?

  • You will acquire an in-depth insight and understanding of the engineering of Hydraulic Motors and Mobile Hydraulics.
  • You will work on exciting specialist and project tasks with operational and strategic responsibilities in the areas of Mechanical-Hydraulic Design, Research & Development, Testing, Applications, Development tools (simulations etc.), Digitalisation and Product & Project Management.
  • You will briefly take on responsibilities and get to know all facets of your field in engineering as well as in day-to-day business.
  • You will benefit from the comprehensive support of an experienced mentor and experts from specialist departments - through regular feedback.
  • You will build up a comprehensive network within the company, from which you will benefit in the long term.
  • You can set individual priorities within the program - and thus actively shape your future.
  • You have the option of completing one of your training stations abroad.

Qualifications

What are we looking for?

In the Graduate Specialist Programme (GSP), you are in good hands as a technical ace with a good feel for current market developments.

  • Master’s Degree in Technical Engineering or comparable. You have strong fundamentals in mathematics and engineering principles.
  • Experience and know-how: You bring along experience in engineering with manufacturing companies through relevant industrial internships. Ideally you have gained first knowledge in software-based development tools preferably CREO. You drive product knowledge and are well acquainted with applications and grounded in project management.
  • Soft skills: You are detail oriented and possess strong communication skills, work well in a team and independently.  You are confident, forward- thinking and hold analytical and conceptual capabilities.  You see courage, sincerity, tolerance, and mindfulness as desirable attitudes.
  • Mobility: Willingness to travel at home and abroad as a part of the job rotation.
  • A rising star looking for a fulfilling career within engineering industry
  • Software and IT knowledge: Preferably experience or knowledge of SAP or similar ERP system, Conversant in Microsoft office products.
  • Experience and know-how: Challenging industrial internships or initial work experience in a technical environment.
  • Soft skills: Excellent communication skills, high level of self-motivation and commitment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Computer literate, with sound knowledge of Microsoft packages especially excel.

Our trainee programme as a "Applications Engineering Graduate" is your career start in an internationally successful company. In 18-24 months, you will pass through specialist departments in our plant in Glenrothes and abroad that are individually tailored to you.

You will be required to evidence your right to work in the UK, as we are unable to sponsor the employment of international workers in this role.
