We’re looking for a Technical Producer to join Snap Inc. in London to join a unique team building physical and virtual experiences that showcase the features of Snap. Ideal candidates are passionate about technology, production, customer service, and experiential technology. Significant travel is expected. This is a full-time position.
What you’ll do:
Oversee the production / technical execution of a wide variety of experiences and events, through which you will be instrumental in shaping Snap’s voice
Manage and drive the development of experiential activations and systems
Manage and onboard vendors from contract to delivery in accordance with team standards and company policies, cultivating a network of global event resources
Prototype, provide feedback on, and develop/deploy interactive and experiential systems (e.g., Snap’s AR Mirrors, Spectacles experiences, and other activations that integrate with the Snap platform)
Work closely with cross functional stakeholders to create, refine, and maintain experiential activations related to Snap
Easily step into the role of Executive Producer, Technical Director, and/or Project Manager from planning to execution for all assigned events and technical productions globally
Develop a deep understanding of the Snapchat product and ecosystem
Create project briefs and other written documentation
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Direct experience integrating technology as a component of physical space design and experiential environments; expertise in the current state of experiential design and technology
Experience with production technologies such as AV systems, video projection, media servers
Experience with Windows, Mac, mobile, IoT and networking systems
Strong product and UX sensibilities
Fluency, written and verbal, conveying technical concepts and solutions to non-technical audiences
Ability to collaborate well with many different internal teams and stakeholders, as well as lead an on-site event production crew
An ability to learn and work in a variety of business applications for such processes as scheduling, project tracking, vendor management, purchasing, and inventory management. Experience with JIRA is a plus
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
4+ years of technical production experience in a live event environment OR a professional degree (creative technology, event production) with 2+ years of experience in a related field
Portfolio of previous projects / events that demonstrate your experience in this space
Valid Passport (or ability to get one) and ability to travel internationally
Preferred Qualifications:
4+ years of experience in Creative Technology, events technical production, or a similar role
General knowledge in Lens Studio and creative software such as Unity, Unreal Engine, Disguise, Notch, Touch Designer, Blender, Adobe Suite
Experience editing and advising on floor plans, technical and design drawings
Valid Driver's License (or the ability to obtain)
Ability to safely lift 50 lbs unassisted
Experience working in a start-up environment or tech company
